Feel it all at an Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk

Join us at Norfolk Showground, Norwich in 2025 and share an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia.  

Registrations for 2025 aren’t open yet but you can register your interest now and we’ll be in touch to let you know when they open up!

Share advice, laughter, and support at the Norwich Memory Walk. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Meeting point

Norwich Memory Walk will start and finish at the showground fields, next to the Showground Arena, which is accessed via Long Lane (Green Gate) if travelling by car and the Dareham Road (Main Gate) if travelling by foot. Please note the event site is on grass. 

Please use postcode NR9 3LX, or alternatively enter ///launcher.stumpy.blaze into the What3Words App for the event site.

Please arrive in good time to avoid queues, and note that parking is on grass.

Route

To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

The shorter 2km walk is a gentle stroll around the showground, which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.

The longer 6km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you further across the showground and surrounding fields.

This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

Accessibility 

The meeting point and car parks are on grass. The short route is on paved paths and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance, 

There is dedicated event parking available, please make stewards aware on arrival if you need an accessible parking space.
