What research is Alzheimer's Society supporting?

Our research aims to understand the underlying causes of dementia, advance dementia diagnosis, improve care, and search for a cure. 

Alzheimer’s Society is committed to supporting early career researchers, recognising them as the future of dementia research. We are investing £10m into new, transformative Doctoral Training Centres that will support researchers taking their first steps into the field. 

There is an urgent need for widespread, accelerated progress in dementia research. To help with lifechanging discoveries, the dementia clinical trial landscape needs to change. 

The Centres of Excellence are a groundbreaking initiative developed by Alzheimer’s Society to address areas in dementia care that are in urgent need of more research.
