The challenge

Share advice, laughter, and support at the Chelmsford Memory Walk. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

The meeting point and route

Chelmsford Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Hylands Park, which is located in the field opposite Writtle Gate Car Park, near Mauro’s Café. Please note, this area is on grass. Find us using the postcode CM2 8FS, alternatively enter ///bought.before.idea into the What3Words App.

To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

A shorter 2km route is a gentle stroll around the Pleasure Gardens, which is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.

The longer 7km route will take you through the rolling estate and around the lake, and is more challenging with a combination of woodland and grassy pathways.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.
