Volunteer data protection learning
As we enter a new year, to provide Help and Hope to all those living with dementia in 2025, we must first make sure we're a safe and secure Society.
Data protection learning
All of our people, both in paid positions and people like you who kindly give their time as volunteers, are required by law to complete essential learning that helps keep our data and service users safe and compliant.
If you are an active volunteer in our list of roles where it is required, please complete this learning, which includes updated modules on data protection and cyber security, by Friday 31 January.
Depending on your needs, you can complete this in one of three ways:
- On the MYV-Learning platform by
- Completing the e-learning module
- Or watching a video, then completing a quiz
- Or by completing our Volunteer Data Protection offline workbook
If you're unfamiliar with how to use MYV-Learning, this document shows how to access the platform and locate the training. Once logged in, you can also download the workbook or, if you prefer, your role manager can send this to you separately for completion.
As a valued volunteer, please set some time aside in the new year to complete this learning - it should take no more than 30 minutes.
It's important you meet the deadline of Friday 31 January, otherwise you will not be able to be active in your role until completion.
If you have any questions please email the Volunteering Team at [email protected] or reach out to your volunteer manager for further support.
