What is Trek26?
Trek26 is a series of treks in stunning locations across England and Wales. Trekkers have the option to trek either26 or 13 miles. Thousands of people take on the challenge each year to raise money in support of people with dementia.
Why we need you!
Trekking a marathon or half-marathon is no mean feat so we love to give our trekkers as much support as possible on the day. This could be a cup of tea at one of our rest stops, a friendly word of encouragement on the route, or a triumphant cheer across the finish line. We can guarantee that it means the world to our trekkers.
This role will be perfect for you if you are:
• Friendly, welcoming and enjoy being part of a large event.
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of different tasks as needed.
• A good communicator and are comfortable talking to people from all walks of life.
The route
Starting in the coastal town of Alnmouth, both the 13 and 26 mile route will head inland following the River Aln. You will then head East, with panoramic views over the coastline, before turning South and picking up the England Coastal Path through idyllic small fishing villages. Enjoy a final stretch of sand as the route meanders along Alnmouth Beach before heading into the finish.
The 26 mile route will continue inland towards Warkworth, with views over the Castle and along the River Coquet. For your final stretch you will return along the England Coastal Path and take in the stunning views towards Alnmouth as you make your way into the finish.
**Please note the route and rest stops above are subject to change.
