What is Trek26?

Trek26 is a series of treks in stunning locations across England and Wales. Trekkers have the option to trek either26 or 13 miles. Thousands of people take on the challenge each year to raise money in support of people with dementia.

Why we need you!

Trekking a marathon or half-marathon is no mean feat so we love to give our trekkers as much support as possible on the day. This could be a cup of tea at one of our rest stops, a friendly word of encouragement on the route, or a triumphant cheer across the finish line. We can guarantee that it means the world to our trekkers.

This role will be perfect for you if you are:

• Friendly, welcoming and enjoy being part of a large event.
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of different tasks as needed.
• A good communicator and are comfortable talking to people from all walks of life.

The route

Starting Location: Swanage

Starting in the cultural town of Swanage, which is nestled on the eastern end of the Isle of Purbeck, the route passes many of the fine beaches in Studland Bay before the stunning Old Harry's Rocks, an iconic natural feature on the South Coast before rounding the headland with views across Pool Harbour, an intriguing natural harbour formed in the last Ice Age.

Trekkers will return inland passing near to Agglestone Rock before dropping back into Swanage. The full distance 26 mile route will head inland passing through the villages of Corfe Castle and Worth Matravers before rejoining the shore for a long and undulating section of the Jurassic Coastal path back into Swanage.
