Recycling for Alzheimer's Society
We recycle a wide range of items – from currency and clothes, to old jewellery, technology, stamps, cameras and cars. This page explains what you can donate and how to do it.

Have something to recycle? Donate your old or unwanted items to Alzheimer's Society and you'll be raising vital funds to support everyone living with dementia.
What can I recycle?
- Old jewellery - we welcome jewellery of any kind, including broken and unwanted items
- Currency - all coins and notes accepted, including foreign and obsolete currency
- Clothes - all items of clothes can be recycled through our partners - Collect My Clothes
- Cameras -old film, digital and video can be recycled through our drop off points or free home collection over 10kg
- Stamps - loose stamps, albums, first day covers, presentation packs, collections, postcard collections
- Technology - sat-navs, iPods, MP3 players, DVD players, games consoles, tablets, iPads and more can be recycled through our drop off points
- Cars - Unwanted vehicles can be recycled via the Give A Car scheme (call 020 7736 4242 or visit the website)

Ready to raise funds with recycling? Request a freepost envelope to donate your old jewellery, of find your local drop-off point to recycle other items.
Recycle your broken and unwanted jewellery and old or foreign banknotes to help our environment and raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
We accept the following items in self-pack envelopes:
Simply pop your unwanted items into an envelope (no bigger than A4 Size) and write the freepost address clearly on your envelope (s). Please include your name, postcode and email address when sending your donation, so that we can send you an email acknowledgement once it has been processed.

Once your items have been donated by post to Alzheimer’s Society we are unable to return your items so please think carefully before posting.

If your collection of items weighs 10kg or more please contact us at [email protected] to arrange a free home collection.
All kinds of stamps are welcome. Simply cut the stamps from the envelope, being careful not to damage the stamp in the process, and start building a small collection of stamps to recycle.

We do not have any drop off points in Scotland as Alzheimer's Society operates in England, Wales and Northern Ireland only.

Do you accept obsolete and pre-Euro currency?
Yes! All coins and notes are accepted.
Will my data be wiped off my donated device?
Yes. Although we recommend that all phones, tablets and other devices are wiped before donation they are split into 3 groups.
Can I donate my old car?
Yes! Old and unwanted cars can be recycled via the Give A Car scheme. Call 020 7736 4242 or visit the website and nominate Alzheimer's Society as your chosen charity.
Can I recycle at my workplace?
Yes! You can either register your workplace as a drop-off point or your staff can collect internally. For further details, please email us.
