Watford Memory Walk
The challenge
Share advice, laughter, and support at the Watford Memory Walk. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
The meeting point and route
Watford Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Cassiobury Park, which is located in the field between the children's paddling pools and the Gade Avenue entrance. Please note this area is on grass. Find us using the postcode WD18 7LH, alternatively enter sample.precautions.punk into the What3Words App.
To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.
The shorter 3.5km walk is a gentle stroll around the park, famous for its tree lined avenues, which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.
The longer 9km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you into the ancient Whippendell Woods, winding through woodland paths and up some hills. This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.
