Could you join your industry colleagues to run for dementia? On Thursday 15 September 2022, runners from across the insurance sector will take on this first 5k challenge in the stunning Victoria Park, London.

You can run individually or as part of a team. Competitive or not competitive, you decide but either way this is your chance to get involved and run with your industry colleagues to make sure no one has to face dementia alone.

The run route is 2 laps of Victoria Park. The first lap is the longer section around 3km and the second lap is the smaller section of 2km. The run route is on hard path and is a flat course. It is suitable for wheelchair users.

Taking part

As well as helping to change the lives of people affected by dementia, there are some great benefits to taking on the IUAD 5K. Unite with us and we will support you through every step of your journey.

The best way to take part is get a team together and fundraise as a group. For example, 5 of you can take on the 5k together and each commit to asking a handful of people to donate £10 to get you to the £75 target. We'll be able to time you and let you know who in your  team was the fastest if you'd like to build up the element of competition!

After you sign up you’ll receive:

  • A support pack with fundraising help and materials
  • Training guides for different abilities and personalised support
  • Support from the IUAD team to help you smash your fundraising target
  • A t-shirt to run in
  • A medal post run

Post-race networking

After the race, you'll be able to celebrate with your team and colleagues from across the industry. Post race networking and drinks will be held at People's Park Tavern located in the park. First drink is on us!
