Why monthly donations are important

Regular, ongoing donations are the backbone of our work. They help us to budget and plan ahead more effectively, so we can commit to supporting more people living with dementia. From the moment someone starts worrying about their symptoms, Alzheimer's Society can be there for them. 

Give a little and make a big impact with monthly donations

Knowing we have your loyal support helps us to make important long-term commitments. Over the next decade, we’ll be spending at least £150 million on vital dementia research. This will improve care for people with dementia, while also advancing our knowledge to find new treatments and, one day, a cure.

£8 per month helps run 
our Dementia Support Forum, connecting those affected by dementia. 
£12 per month could pay for a companion to call someone who is feeling alone and isolated.
£15 per month could fund an hour’s support from a Dementia Adviser every month.

Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia

Today, there are around 900,000 people with dementia in the UK. By 2040, this is projected to almost double to 1.6 million.

Sarah, who is living with dementia, and her husband Martyn are part of an ambitious project that provides future healthcare professionals with a better understanding of dementia. 

Through the Alzheimer’s Society’s Time for Dementia programme, medical trainees visit Sarah and Martyn's home monthly to discuss the realities of living with dementia. Their involvement is made possible by supporters like you, who have also provided them with invaluable assistance through a Dementia Adviser. This support has allowed Sarah and Martyn to focus on their family, participate in research, and approach life with optimism despite the challenges of dementia.
