Hold a Dementia Friends Information Session for your classes.

What is a Dementia Friends Information Session?

Invite a local volunteer Dementia Friends Champion to run a free, fun and interactive session about dementia. Young people will learn how dementia affects someone and what they can do to help. All participants become a 'Dementia Friend' and receive a badge and action card.

Dementia Friends Information Sessions contribute towards pupil welfare and safeguarding provision. They develop students' PSHE skills and attributes, such as resilience and empathy.

Who can attend a Dementia Friends Information Session?

Dementia Friends Information Sessions are tailored to suit different age groups. Anyone over the age of five can benefit from attending a Session.
