My husband is 90 and until two years ago played golf ,walked every day and sang in a choir His dementia diagnosed in 2020 is getting worse and he now has rectoral cancer ,a stoma bag and a pacemaker. After 3weeks of daily radio therapy he is very distressed that this has not improved the very upsetting discharge he has.
I could not cope with all these problems and he is now in self funded care in a local care home. Even though I visit most days I am torn between trying to maintain my own activities to keep me sane and feeling guilty because he is not happy
We have been married 61 years and until a few years ago we led a very active social life I find it very hard to cope with mental stress and my own physical problems
