Names from the UK’s comedy scene join forces on Thursday 11 March at 7pm for Alzheimer’s Society’s online comedy night - Joke’s on You, Dementia! hosted by actor and comedian, Hugh Dennis, to raise vital funds for people living with dementia.

The charity comments on the plans presented by the Government.

Alzheimer's Society pay tribute to co-founder of the charity, Morella Kayman MBE, who sadly passed away on Monday 8 February.

The Office for National Statistics has published data showing that, for the week of the 23rd-29th January, there were 1,971 deaths due to COVID-19 in care homes, bringing the total to 26,680.

The Office for National statistics revealed that for the week ending 22 January, there were 1,817 deaths in care homes due to Covid.

Official figures later today are expected to confirm that the NHS has now offered the Covid-19 vaccine to residents at every eligible care home with older residents across England.
