Community Links run a day care service, providing person-centred activities that promote independence and cognitive functioning, social stimulation and peer support. The service provides stimulation through person-centred activities as well as respite for carers. Activities include: quizzes; reminiscence; relaxation; gardening; art therapy; music appreciation; pool; games and pamper sessions etc. A two-course meal is also available at lunchtime for a modest charge. Transport can be arranged for a small contribution. There is also a monthly dementia cafe.
Who is this service for?
- Must be residents of Leeds or those who are registered with a GP in Leeds
- People with a diagnosis of early on-set dementia
