The Research Strategy Council is made up of leading dementia scientists who advise the Society on the direction and focus of the research strategy.
We also have three Grant Advisory Boards, made up of leading researchers that are in place to provide advice to the Society on decisions relating to the funding and management of our research projects. The Chairs of these boards attend Research Strategy Council meetings.
Research Network volunteers play a crucial role in the grant selection and monitoring process. Their knowledge and passion ensures our research funding is allocated to projects that address the real needs and concerns of people with dementia and their carers.
Previously the Research Network have helped us to identify research priorities through the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership.
We are a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities, a membership organisation which we work in collaboration with.
