Insurance Day for Dementia

On Thursday 28 November 2024, the insurance industry is uniting against dementia to fund further investment into pioneering research.

Insurance Day for Dementia is the flagship fundraising event for Insurance United Against Dementia. This day of giving is a chance for the insurance sector to come together to fundraise and raise awareness of dementia.

Almost half of the 300,000 people working in the UK insurance sector will be affected by dementia in their lifetime, either directly or through a loved one.

On Thursday 28 November, we want as many people as possible in the industry to pledge their support. You can choose to fundraise, volunteer your time and take action. There are so many ways you can make a difference!

When we stand united we can have a big impact. Last year, insurance day for dementia raised over 200k for our vital dementia research.

'As an industry that prides itself on protecting people and society in times of crisis, we must play our part in combatting the devastating effects of dementia.

The Insurance Day for Dementia is an opportunity for everyone across the industry to come together and make that difference.

'No matter how big or small, every donation counts.'

Funding vital dementia support and research

There are currently around 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK. This is projected to reach 1.6 million by 2040.

Insurance United Against Dementia is an industry movement created and championed by leaders across insurance, in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society. Together, we will raise £10 million to help end the devastation caused by dementia.
