Memories with Grandma activity pack: for 5-11 year olds
Teach about dementia in the classroom and turn students into Dementia Friends with our animation and activity pack.
Our animation and activity pack 'Memories with Grandma' teaches young people about dementia and how they can support people living with the condition.
‘Memories with Grandma’ was created alongside people living with dementia, so it’s great for teaching the messages that matter to people affected by the condition. The character of Grandma Mary is voiced by Dianne, one of our fantastic supporters who is living with dementia.
Who is this pack for?
‘Memories with Grandma’ is perfect for raising dementia-awareness in a fun and engaging way for 5-11 year olds.
Our activity pack contains:
- A preparation activity
- Our animation 'Memories with Grandma'
- Activities to embed learning points
Once young people have watched the animation and have completed their activity pack, let us know so we can recognise them as Dementia Friends. We’ll also send them each a badge and action card!
These packs are available in English and Welsh. The animation can be watched in English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic and with subtitles.
