Elf Day FAQs
What is Elf Day?
On Friday 2 December (or any other day you'd prefer), people across the UK will dress up as elves to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society.
When is Elf Day?
Elf Day is on 2 December this year. If you can’t make this date, don’t worry – you can take part on whatever day works for you!
Can I host my Elf Day on a different date?
Yes! You can host your Elf Day on whatever day is convenient for you. Please email us to let us know if you are hosting on a different date to the one you signed up with so we can support you along the way.
Where is my fundraising kit?
This year we've gone green so unless you opted in to receive a physical fundraising pack you will have received your digital pack in your inbox within 36 hours of signing up! If you requested a physical pack your fundraising kit should arrive within 10 working days from the date you signed up. If you still haven’t received your kit after this time, please email the team at Elf HQ at [email protected] and we’ll send another pack out to you right away.
Can you send me extra items from my fundraising kit?
Unfortunately we can’t send out extra items from your fundraising kit, but we have lots of downloadable fundraising games and resources on our website here. If you’re looking for any extra festive fancy dress items for your day, such as elf hats and elfie props, you can purchase them from our online shop here.
Do I have to dress up to take part?
The easiest way to fundraise for Elf Day is to dress up, which can be as simple as wearing a festive jumper or donning an elf hat. But that’s not the only way you can take part! We have plenty of games and fundraising ideas on our website that you can use to raise money.
If you have an idea you want to run by our Elf Day team we’d be more than happy to help. You can contact us by emailing [email protected] or by calling us on 0300 222 5770.
How do I send in my fundraising?
You can pay in donations online. Or, if you’d prefer, you can pay by card over the phone by calling 0300 222 5770, or by sending a cheque to:
Elf Day Alzheimer’s Society
Scott Lodge Scott Road
Plymouth
PL2 3DU
If you’re sending a cheque please include a covering letter with your full name and address.
I'm under 16, can I take part?
To organise an Elf Day you must be over 16 years old. If you are under 16 years we recommend organising your Elf Day with a responsible adult such as a parent or teacher who can sign up and pay in donations for you.
Where should I host my Elf Day?
Anywhere you like! Here are some suggestions:
- At work - get your boss involved!
- At school
- In your local community
- At home or anywhere you like! For example, you can get sponsored to dress as an elf while you're doing your daily routine or elfless acts of kindness!
How big can my Elf Day be?
Please be sure to stay up to date with government guidelines on social distancing and plan your day accordingly.
What about Coronavirus?
The health and safety of you, your friends and your family is the most important thing right now. It’s important your event complies with current government guidance, but don’t worry – there’s still loads of ways you can get involved socially distanced!
You can also set up a JustGiving page to limit the amount of cash at your event too.
