  • Advice and Information
    Advice and information on all topics related to dementia, on local services and on support of carers.
  • Armley Grange Day Centre
    Person centred day care for people with dementia aged 65 and under. Wide range of activities offered plus trips out, relaxation time and complementary therapies. Transport to and from the centre provided.
  • Carers' Support Group
    Monthly support group providing informal, peer group support and/or talks by visiting speakers. Occasionally complementary therapy sessions.
  • Carers' Support Group - Cookridge
    A monthly support group providing peer group support and talks by visiting speakers. Held at Cookridge Court Residential Home. Iveson Rise, Lawnswood,Leeds 16. Carers and the person they care for meet in 2 separate groups.
  • Carers' Support Group - South Leeds
    A monthly support group providing informal, peer group support, talks by visiting speakers and occasionally complimentary therapies. Held at the Potterdale Day Centre, Dewsbury Road, Leeds.
  • Carers' Support Service
    Telephone contact or home visits. Advice, information and support. Accompanied visits to day centres and residential homes. Assistance in claiming benefits. Referrals to and liaison with other agencies.

  • Dementia Cafe for people of South Asian origin

  • Forget Me Not Dementia Cafe
    A dementia cafe for people with dementia and their carers. Meets monthly at Yeadon Cricket Club, High Street, Yeadon
  • Garforth Net Cafe
    Monthly dementia cafe
  • Holiday Grant
    Grant of £100 per person towards the cost of a holiday for the carer and the person with dementia or for the carer alone. Grant may be payable for up to a year after the death of the cared for person. Usually restricted to 1 grant per year.

  • Outreach Service for Younger People with Dementia
    After a comprehensive assessment of individual needs a person centred plan of care is drawn up to focus on the individual's strengths and abilities and provide opportunities for interesting and stimulating activities in the home or the wider community

    A monthly dementia cafe meeting at Potterdale Day Centre on Dewsbury Road, Leeds.
  • Provision of talks and training
    Provision of talks and contribution to training of health and social services staff on dementia related topics
  • Sunshine Cafe
    Monthly dementia cafe held in Collingham Village Hall, Main Street, Collingham, near Wetherby
  • Training for other professional groups
    Contribution to training of other professional groups who may be involved with people affected by dementia in the course of their work e.g. the police.

    Carers Support Group
